We just wanted to say thank you for all your help, hard work and recommendations. Cakes by Karol did a beautiful job on our cake.

Most of all thank you for recommending Brian Roberts to us. He played and sang so beautifully, it was the perfect surprise for my husband-to-be. Brian even learned one of “our” songs for our wedding. He helped give words to what we were both feeling that day. He was so easy, hassle free and affordable. He is such a talented musician.
 
I was so nervous the day of our wedding and Ray was perfect at calming me down on the ride to the beach. Everything went so smoothly. My dad was a nervous wreck the day of our wedding he kept asking me if I hired an officiant, if I hired a photographer and a million other details. My answer to everything was “Ray and Eileen are taking care of it”. I was so glad Dave and I could concentrate on each other and not worry about logistics. After all was said and done my dad said “Those wedding people really have their stuff together! That went very smoothly. What a great choice.”
 
You helped give us a wedding that was exactly what we wanted and that totally fit our personalities. We were amazed by how affordable it was, especially with the disk of the professionally taken photos included. Others companies wanted to charge eight dollars for each print!!

Our Story:

My husband and I were planning on renewing our vows this October Key West. It was to be the wedding we never had.

I had contacted M***** D**** C******* via email on September 21, 2009 after finding them on the internet. I received a response from A** F**** within 24 hours, explaining what the package options were and that they were looking forward to helping me plan our day in paradise.

I sent A** an email back the next day with a few questions which again, she promptly responded to. I then emailed asking how they would like to receive payment and asked if we could change the time to a little later in the day. When I didn’t receive an email back, I went to their website and tried to call their phone number, but the number was for a fax machine.
I finally received an email back from her 7 days later with an apology that they were on a charter and that the time change I requested would not be an issue. I called A** the next day (October 1st) to arrange payment. While confirming the details of the date and time, I was informed that they had another event scheduled for that day and that there was nothing they could do for me. Her words were, “Wish I could help you honey, good luck,” and then she proceeded to hang up on me.
I was led to believe that everything was in order, only to be told that there was nothing they could do for me. I then went back to the internet and started the entire process over again, which is when I found Weddings To Go! Key West.
Thankfully, they were able to rescue the day….and they were less expensive!! From the informative website to the courteousness and professionalism I received while talking to Eileen was a welcoming comparison to M***** D**** C*******.
After the helpful attitude I received from Weddings To Go! Key West, I was rest assured that our day would go as planned.
We arrived at the beach as scheduled and our vow renewal went off as planned. Weddings To Go! Key West, is at the top of their game. If you have any doubts, put them aside, you can be confident that they will do a great job.

This message is for anyone thinking of using Weddings To Go in Key West and as a thank you for Ray and Eileen. Being both Nancy and my second wedding we wanted something stress free. Let me say that this is the most stress free wedding you can imagine. We decided on Thursday to elope and get married, got our marriage license on Monday, hopped a cruise on Thursday and were married by Weddings to Go on Friday. I will admit I was hesitant with choosing a wedding service on-line. Due to our quick plans I had to pay up front for all of them so this added to the pressure of the decision. The experience turned out great. We got off of the cruise and within 10 minutes were picked up in a well air-conditioned new/clean Honda Odyssey Minivan. Stopped by the flower shop and picked up our flowers and were off to the beach. This may sound like a hassle to stop and get flowers but please know that in our hurry, I forgot to order them. I called Eileen at 8:30 and they were ready by 10:30 when our wedding was to begin. The location was beautiful. Going through this process you wonder how the pictures would turn out in the cheapest package. How good of a photographer could you really get. Ray has a great eye and even took a few more photos than we were promised. They turned out great, see for yourself http://keywestislandwedding.phanfare.com/4377599 . To top it off after being on the cruise where everyone has there hand out for tips, Ray and Eileen wouldn’t accept one. For anyone wondering if you should use this team the simple answer is yes. They even drove us to Soppy Joe’s bar after the wedding to start our official honey moon rather than back to the boat. When I got home and downloaded our photos I realized they had 3 weddings the same day as ours and I can assure you we were treated as if it was simply our day. Our little package…. One Great present “Our Love” from sunrise to sunset our love has really come full circle. It’s not just any day, we’re both born on the 12th of July, we got engaged July 12th in front of the grotto at St. Mary’s during a hurricane, and finally married on July 12th, on Smathers beach under our Palm tree, feet in the sand, water waves as music, Sunset coming into view. God has an amazing paintbrush. Hallmark will not make any money on us, one card says it all. Our special day was so easy, worry free because of Eileen and Ray, what a wonderful couple that provided an AWESOME memory. We can’t Thank You both enough. We remember planning our day saying no way, it can not be this easy, just show up worry free. Eileen and Ray kept saying just relax. They we’re not kidding. So now every year we continue to renew our vows, which gets better each year. We look forward to our renewal ceremony. It’s great to see Eileen and Ray thoughout the year, and share a smile. Well they never had Ray and Eileen at Weddings To Go Key West handle their special day.

On our wedding day (5/19/09) Eileen preformed a beautiful ceremony Ray took great pictures. My husband Sam and I look and were relaxed, even photogenic. Something that is very hard for me to achieve.

I received a 3 calla lilly bouquet exactly as I requested. We were presented with a beautiful bottle of champagne and matching flutes.

Also, we were made to feel at ease by hearing other bride and groom’s anecdotal stories.

We’ve also heard that weddings never go without some kind of glitch.

In Memory of Kelly Beard McQuate

Married: March 17, 2009

Dear Staff at Weddings To Go:

My brother Mark McQuate married Kelly Beard on March 17, 2009. On their way home to Iowa on March 24th, they were hit by a drunk driver going the wrong way on the Interstate. Kelly was killed and Mark was taken to Vanderbilt Trauma Center. Mark has since been released.

Mark spoke at the funeral for Kelly and his speech was about his wedding to Kelly. The two of them wanted to make their wedding about just the two of them and their vows. Kelly’s wishes were then to wear a wedding dress and have a big party and tell everyone about how wonderful their wedding was. Unfortunately, that will never happen. So at the funeral Mark did that for her (she also gave him the strength to do this). He explained every detail of their dream wedding. It sounded wonderful.

The point of this email…I just wanted to thank you and your staff for making Mark and Kelly’s wedding something he will never forget. It was just perfect. She was the happiest that she has ever been. Mark will be able to make it through this knowing how happy she was that day and the week following the wedding.

I first of all would like to thank Eileen and Ray for helping to give us such beautiful wedding memories; we had such a wonderful time. Secondly, I need to apologize for not emailing you the testimonial that was so well deserved. I really haven’t delved into writing a testimonial just because our first wedding was such a disaster! But here it goes…

For anyone that is considering having a destination wedding or for that matter, anyone who is considering a wedding at all, should stop their time consuming planning and instead go to Key West to get married with “Weddings to Go”. My reasoning is well founded; my husband and I planned for a big wedding ceremony and reception for 6 months in the town where we reside. Our big day came and went; all the while he and I felt like we were in a fog. While trying to take care of all the many details that are ever present with any big affair that one plans; we missed the big point of the day- our marriage. To put it lightly our big wedding day ended in disaster. Both of our families were at each other’s throats, we didn’t get to enjoy all of our hard work because there was always something that needed to be taken care of, and worst of all – we both felt like there was no emotion between the two of us. We were both going through the motions of the day, saying what needed to be said when we were cued and doing what the planner told us to do. To say the least, it was far from being “our day”. But, just when things were looking very bleak for the two of us, we realized that our preacher had not turned in the marriage certificate and that technically we were not legally married. Suddenly the forecast for our marriage was looking a little brighter and with a little research we found Weddings To Go Key West. We booked January 1st right away with the thought that it would be a new year and a new beginning for the three of us. On the first, Eileen and Ray delivered all of the things that they had promised- the most important being no stress and lots of fun! We couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience; with Eileen conducting the ceremony and Ray snapping the pictures. We have nothing but beautiful memories of that day! Thank you all so much for everything!

Hello again! I know this letter is very late in coming, but you’ll have to forgive us. Two days after arriving home from our fabulous wedding, my mom (Chris) passed from her long battle with cancer and 2 months after that we had our reception (where we happily played our wedding slide show photos!) with our family and friends, so its been a very hectic summer to say the least.

We got married on June 26th at 1 pm and have to say that you both surpassed all of our wishes and expectations! Weve been telling everyone that is single (and even the ones that just want to go to renew their vows) that they MUST go to you two. Anyone that looks at our photos are simply in awe of how spectacular everything was and when we tell them further about how cool you two are, well it gets everyone fired up to come down!

One of the high points we did have on coming home was that my mom (Chris) got to see the photos you took, Ray, before she passed, and she cried with happiness and said that was so “us”!!! (Getting married on the beach in our bare feet).

We highly recommend you both to anyone and everyone! The gift of champagne along with the quiet hour to relax on the beach was heaven and will never be forgotten. The photos are post card material and the picnic basket is unbelievable!!! We took our kids on a picnic after we received it in the mail and they got to experience a little of what we did that beautiful day on the beach.

Both your personalities are incredible and so suited for your business. Our only regret is that we didnt get the chance to meet up later, but theres always next time we come down! And maybe well run into Buffett!!…or your friend Chris (the twin) from Tampa!! Anyone who reads this would be insane NOT to go to “Weddings To Go Key West”YOU TWO ARE THE BEST!!! You give the perfect wedding at an unbelievable price. Bryan and I wanted to send our thank you to you for such a wonderful experience. As you know, we were scheduled to be married at sunset (8:20pm) on July 3rd and there was some sort of misconnect and we were not picked up until 8:15. Although we watched our sunset from the car ride over to the beach, Sondra and Patti were so good to us and told us that they would make the evening special.

Although Bryan and I were just happy to be getting married that evening, we did want to thank you, Ray and Eileen, for picking up our check for our dinner after the wedding. (Which thanks to your recommendation, we went to Michaels and it was one of the most amazing meals we ever had). We also wanted to thank you for your suggestion to do the wedding ceremony over again on July 6th. I am now a lucky bride with both day and evening pictures… and I got to marry the man I love twice in one weekend!

Bryan and I look back on our wedding(s) with great pleasure. Thank you Sondra and Patti for making us feel so relaxed and for taking such wonderful evening pictures. And thank you Ray and Eileen for your professionalism–you went above and beyond for us and we will never forget what you did to make sure our day(s) were both so special.

Dear Ray & Eileen,

Wow! The photos are amazing! We are constantly receiving compliments. People who thought they had a good deal using a professional photographer in the family are jealous of the quality of our pictures and that we won’t be paying for each print.

The flowers were also a big hit with women asking if they were real. I may not know the names of all the flowers, but they are very real!

I just received the picnic basket. Our 6.5 month old kitten, who gained over half a pound while we were gone (now 8 lbs!)) is having a blast playing in the packaging. After arriving home to a temp of 36, it is warming back up to where we can enjoy time outside again and have our first picnic.

It just hit me that I am not sure I ever wrote you back after mine and Alexis’ wedding.

Well, let me give you an update of what’s happening.

The day after we got married I moved to Sweden and she moved back to New York to her parents. I started my new job and it just so happened that they sent me to the USA for aicraft training so we got a chance to see each other for a few weeks which was nice. I have now been back for about three weeks and we think that she is going to be able to move here (the permanent resident status is what’s holding things up, lots of red tape) at the end of january. I am out looking for a condo for us and we will eventually live in Lund, Sweden (we’d love to be on the map on the wedsite).

We are very happy about the wedding and how you guys have set it up. Our parents have sent the pictures to just about everyone they know and they are as pleased as we are. It was an amazing day and I still get chills thinking about it, it was perfect.

Our wedding was wonderful and the pictures turned out more beautiful than I ever imagined. It sprinkled a little on the cab ride over, but never a drop fell on us once we got to Smathers…. We ended up taking pictures from our digital camera (that Patti was kind enough to take) and sent them to our families to surprise them with our news…..no one knew, but my kids who were with their dad in chicago. That’s quite a compliment. We had a wonderful dinner at The Grand. It was just a great great evening….

You all were a life saver December 15, 2007 when our wedding officiate Ron, from Chapel By the Sea did not show at our contracted time on Smathers Beach. I do not know what we would have done that day had you all not been there to save our day. This is our story we want to share with anyone interested in getting married in Key West, Florida and what Weddings To Go did for my husband and I. Eileen had contracted with a couple shortly after the contracted time when Graham and I had with Chapel By the Sea. We kept waiting on our wedding officiate but he never showed. Eileen approached us and asked if we were the couple she was suppose to be marrying. Eileen must have seen the disappointment in my eyes. She asked who we were contracted with and told us if Ron, from Chapel By the Sea does not show up she would help us out after she finishes with her contracted couple. We were concerned about pictures since this was our special day and we wanted pictures to take back home for our family and friends. She said her photographer would help us out as well. With much relief we waited for her to finish with the other couple. Then only a short time later Eileen married Graham and I and her Photographer Pattie took our wedding pictures. We were so happy for what they did. Words cannot express how we truly felt. We tried to pay them both and Eileen and Pattie refused to accept any money for their services. We were so grateful for what they did for us that day. They did not want us to leave Key West with a bad taste in our mouth. They wanted us to think good things about Key West and want to return some day. When we tried to pay them again for their services they just asked us to do something good in return for someone else. I thought that was a great thing for someone to ask. Eileen and Pattie made our special day an even better day with many memories to share with our loved ones for many years to come. Thanks again for everything you both did for us.

I know what your’e thinking…Weddings to Go? Are you kidding me? I thought the same thing, and then I came here and read the testimonials. Here is mine.

When we began to talk about the perfect wedding for us, because we live in Florida, we decided that a drive down to the Keys would be perfect. Oh my goodness….this is absolutely beautiful!! I just opened my email after a few days and here it was…and I love the music!! I was able to share our photo album with everyone at work who was not at our reception…where by the way we shared the beautiful photo disk with everyone fromthe computer in our library!!

We both cannot thank you enough for the most amazing wedding….from beginning to end it was more than we could ever have asked for!!! From my wine filled day at the salon to the beautiful ceremony, to the wonderful dinner at “One Duval”, to the wedding cake, to the picnic basket shipped to our home so quickly….we than you both from the bottom of our hearts!!

You are both truly a pleasure…you have created memories for Tim and I for a livetime…for that we are forever grateful!!!!!!

Now that we’re back home in Pennsylvania and settling in to new routines, I just wanted to send off a note to thank you and Ray for such a wonderful and memorable ceremony down in Florida.

It was a pleasure meeting you both Friday morning. We could all have chatted all day. When you want to live in Paradise, Key West And Southwest Florida, it has its summer weather challenges.

Thankfully, Friday was a beautiful day. You started ou day by marrying us “again” after we had been divorced 5 years. What a most excellent ceremony in a beautiful spot! The rest of the day in Key West was great fun. We visited some of our favorite places and ate in our favorite restaurant.

We wound up leaving early on Saturday instead of staying until Sunday. The weather was deteriorating, as you saw when I came in drenched to pick up th epicture CD. And we had concerns about the weather here on Ft. Myers Beach.

Our honeymoon weekend may have been cut short in Key West, but you made our wedding day so special.

I love the pictures as well, and have already sent them on to family and friends. Great job and thank you.

Hello, Ray and Eileen,

It will be one week tomorrow since we got married on the beautiful beach at Key West at a serene sunrise. It was a really simple and peaceful affair and we found that it exactly was what we had in mind for our wedding. It was a nice private affair with no intrusions and was complemented beautifully by the soft sun rays, a calm breeze and gentle lapping of the waves. We loved it and the cool lemonade we had after the ceremony was all the more sweet because of the whole setting.

We know we couldn’t thank you enough for the ceremony. We like the pictures that Ray took of us, especially the one where the soft sun rays filter through the dew-covered glasses as we held them up. We also like the vows that Eileen had us recite. Quite a few of those pictures are going up in frames. We would like to thank you for the cute picnic basket, too.
